Getting out of the car I have raked my knee across the door speaker twice and it takes the skin right off.

I was wondering if anybody else had this experience. Cracks me up.

i haven't hit the door speakers, but if i forget
i have the pillar pods, i can hit those and it's
just as annoying....so i feel your pain...

I've only done it twice, but after the second time...

Only happens when I am in a close spot. Put left foot out, turn body and stand up with right knee bent. I don't rake it across the entire length of the speaker, but what gets me is that my knee just bumps it and the grill shaves a layer of skin right off.

Only thing I ever do is accidentally turn the lights on with my knee when getting out.

If you're putting BOTH feet out before standing, THEN I can see that. Just put the left leg out and begin to stand. BTW, if you're putting both legs out first and you're in a tight spot where your door can't be opened too far, you HAVE to be a midget <...imagining a mutant midget...>.
