Default future Ford tech...

Just started the Ford Assets program and it's literaly gonna suck all my modding money dry. I'll be saving up little by little in order to build up my motor and transmission, in order to sustain some major boost here in the near future (30psi?!). I'll be doing all the work, along with the help of an experianced mechanic, so it's all good.. I'll just blame him if something goes wrong lol (jk)

Looks like the only mods I'll be able to get are some really grippy DRs and LCAs... if that doesn't get me 12.8@105.. I quit! lol..

I noticed my auto traps ALOT less then the manual GTs at my track. One ran a 13.6@108 and the other a 13.2@107. I have yet to break past 103.

My CAI filter also looks like an unattended vacum bag for a year so.. yeah.. lol

Good to hear that program is alive and kicking!! I had that option leaving high school in 1995 but chose another route.

Awesome for you to get into the program- think of the toys and tools you'll get to play with!

Congrats!

Congrats on the decision. Should be a lot of fun and hard work.

grrr..second week is almost up.. SOO many tools and safety requirements to study and read up on it's not even funny. Only been in the shop for a total of 3 hours so far! Doh!

Oh well, the fun starts soon.. hopefully.

(O_o)?!

We are taking a field trip to the local drag strip next monday to check out how everything works there ( the tree, safety, cars etc.) Gonna test and tune my car, hopefully I don't mess up in front of my class mates and run a 14.9 lol. Top eliminators, Top ET, MOD/Street ET and money bracket are scheduled to run! Noice!

we finally got some shop time in today. Got to take apart an OLD *** 3.8 v-6 push rod motor lol. Not exactly a Mustang motor but it sure as hell beats book work!

The class took a part (down to the block only) four motors total, got to look at how the rotating assembly works, cams, and some other stuff I forgot.

Pretty cool indeed!

Instructor said it was cool if I wanted to build up my GT motor, just as long as it does not take too much out of my class/lab work, and as long as we keep the shop clean...

the search for a forged rotating assembly, connecting rods, and pistons begin!

I also could do cams, springs and retainers if I wanted to.. but I still want to keep it street legal.

Pics up later of the shop once I get my battery charged on my camera.
