i got the steeda double barrel strut tower brace today, tried to put it on, but it won't clear the stock plenum cover. does the v6 engine sit higher than the gt? i dont want to stack 15 washers on top of each to bolt this thing down... is there any trick? any v6 guys try a gt brace?

 

No sure which brace you bought...steeda has 3 on there site with a *note on the bottom of the page about clearance issues...give them a call...

...also does anyone know if the V8 brace and V6 brace are interchangeable..?????

I have the OEM Bullitt brace which happens to be the same brace as the FRPP V6 brace, no problem with clearing the cover.

Sounds like you didnt receive the instructions. Our apologies if that is the case. You need to remove the grommets from the rear legs of the cover so it sits down a little to clear the brace. That is step 4 in the instructions.
