Ouch. Speaking of a Bullitt Re-match...

"July 9th Car Tour – “San Francisco Bullitt Tourâ€, tour of the route of the car chase scene in the movie “Bullitt†with other Mustang and Mopar clubs. John Barrett to be contact person."

Anyone going?

I just finished reading that article and all I can say is awesome. Also did you see the concept car for the GTO, I think it is 2008. Looks like a Mustang, several readers did as well.

You might think that with more HP that Charger would win in some category...
Nope! It's too heavy to compare with the Mustang.

Oh, i guess it can carry adults in the back seat. That's the only reason I'd see someone buying the Dodge.
I just want to know if that green is a new color for 06, and how long is Ford gonna wait before bringing out the Bullitt Stang?

I very briefly read the story and what they did was repainted a screaming yellow stang to the original color of the Bullitt. Maybe next year. They also said that a Bullitt would be coming out in 2008; a course without the fog lights.

Old Mopars are very nice cars. The B bodies (Chargers, RR's, Superbee's) and E bodies (70-74 Cudas and Challengers) were some of the hottest cars ever made. I think the new Charger is a disgrace to the name (not worse than the early 80's Omni Chargers). I just hope the 09 Challenger is going to make up for the travesty. The new Charger is a nice car, don't get me wrong. They just should have called it a Coronet (that actually came with 4 doors), or a Satellite. But alas, those names don't stir the soul like the Charger badge.

Yes i saw the article and what's up with the Charger in front on every page? It's ironic that the stats on the back of the spread greatly favor the Mustang. I personaly don't care for the new Charger, I think it's a cross breed between the Chrystler 300 and a Magnum with a 95' Bonniville front end... It's too big, too heavy and I smoked one between lights yesterday... Twice
I LOVE MY GT!

Ya gotta watch the movie. It's actually pretty cool, the Charger loses 5 hubcaps.

Did you catch the stats of the original Charger in the movie? Wow, 400+hp... Is that right? I believe the horse power in the Charger was huge compared to the Mustang.
