Possessed SmartJunctionBox

Update:
Rained here last two days and the carpet is wet but the
foam 'water diverter' Ford put over my SJB to 'fix' the water
leak has kept the dripping water off of the SJB but the carpet
and pad seem to be suffering from the water intrusion....
The trim around the passengers side door is the problem.
Gotta get round to fixen that one....
The SJB seems to be performing like designed since the 'reboot'.

The other day I was looking at the new Camaros and lil miss stang
didnt quite like it. When I went to lock her up with the remote that
evening, it would not work. Nothing worked via the remote. No trunk,
no nothing. Then when I went to open her up to see what the deal
was, the interior lights didnt come on for about 5 seconds then started
flashing. The door lock switches on the doors didnt work and the Accessory
Delay feature was hit and miss. When the headlights were turned on, there
was another 5 second delay before they actually illuminated. When turned off,
they continued to illuminate for about 5 seconds more. Every electrical item
that runs thru the Smart Junction Box had about a 5 second delay. The turn
signals were non-functional and the brake lights also had the 5 second
turn on/turn off delay. I gave it up as it was late and chalked it up to the
leak problem and a corroded SJB. I eventually got around to working on
her the next day and the first order of busisness was a power down/power
up cycle to 'reboot' the SJB logic. This seemed to straighten out the problems
all in one mighty swoop of pulling SJB fuses from the BussedElectricalCenter
under the hood. This is the first time I have ever heard of this sort of problem
with a simple power down/power up procedure fixed it. I did pull my SJB and
inspected it for any signs of corrosion and none were present.
I guess I lucked out. The warranty expires in 3 months....
