Tuning a 2010GT Prem.s
I am considering a Diablo or SCT tuner(from Brem or one of the others I have seen you all recommend), what danger is there in tuning it?
I just lost my 96 Mystic Cobra to an idiot woman running into the back of me. she totaled it. I now have a 2010 Black gt Prem with TrackPack.
I have never tuned a car, not real wild about blowing something up.
Thanks.

You can run their off the shelf tune or you can buy mail order tunes that you wont have to touch, but if you want the best thing find a good Mustang tuner in your area and get a custom tune on a programmer they offer.
It is very rare for there to be problems with some of the mail order tunes from the reputable places.
If you want to do some tuning on your own there are a few forums out there that will help you.

You want to either run the tune they send you or have it dyno tuned, unless you have a lot of experience mapping air\fuel maps and know about the timing and EVERYTHING else that goes into it, just run the tune that comes on it or dyno tune. I have heard that the tunes that it comes with are good, keep in mind they have dyno tuned the same car as your's to come up with the tune on the programmer, maybe a few hp to be gained over whats on it by dynoing your car and that is only with a good dyno tuner.
Nothing bad will ever come from one of the good tuners on here. Better mileage and more power are to be had, the factory tune is over fueled and has a lot of torque management in it, I like to control the throttle myself and have the car go wot when I make it.
