Default off road h pipe

im wanting to put an off road h pipe on my wifes 06 gt mustang. my first question is isnt the factory h pipe just like evey other mustang? easy to unbolt, and bolt up o/r pipe? second question is will i need to buy or make 02 sims? thanks

you just have the O2s shut off with tuner. If you do not have a tuner you can purchase MILs. and yes it bolts up

You may be able to find a set of 02 simulators (MIL eliminators) for the downstream sensors, but they aren't sold anymore. However, you can make them fairly easily. Otherwise, you'd need a tune to shut them off.

I just swapped my O/R H-Pipe back on today. I took my time and it only took a couple of hours with the front wheels up on ramps in my driveway. A trick I will tell you is to take off the heat shield on the passenger side above the catalytic converter before you do anything else. If you don't remove it and you try to reach up and unplug the upstream 02 sensor on the passenger side, the heat shield will take a good amount of skin off your arm as you try to pull it back.
