Default Airaid intake

I'm about to buy an airaid intake from a friend for $120. He says it doesn't require a tune and if I got a tune in the future I just take the venturi tube out. Its like new and I'm just wondering if its a good deal. Thanks

it's not the best CAI out there. but for $120 it might be worth it. it may give you 10 rwhp without tuning, definately better than stock. if you want to get the most out of a CAI then get a better one with a tuner, but if you are on a tight budget, i would say go for it!

Good deal for 120. See how you like it w/o the tune for now. When more money permits, take out the tube and contact Brenspeed. You'll love the tune.

Not the best but might get you 4-8 RWHP, I doubt anymore, w/o a tune. FYI, even CAI's that claim to not require a tune may throw a CEL for running lean.

+1 I've had mine for about 2 years now. No CELs or problems whatsoever...Tuned by BAMA not too long ago and still going strong

Go for it!

I think if he was looking at heads and a cam he would probably be looking for a higher end CAI.

They sure do, but not the AirAid.
Its just a Roush renamed as AirAid.
Or AirAids are renamed as a Roush.
If it does not have any filter damage
and is fairly new with low miles, $120
is a fricken steal. I had to give $139
new on the eBay for mine.
The MVT of the AirAid wont throw CELs
or cause lean conditions.
Its the best of both worlds as a MVT
removal and a tune wake up the beast
at a later date.

The low end pull is a lot better off the line
and going into second.
Plus it sounds real cool when you open her up...
