You just wasted moneyintakes like the AFE have been proven in dyno tests to work equal to or worse than the stock air box with a K & N filter. The stock airbox due Ford's technologically advanced design is already close to being as aerodynamic as possible without increasing it's cross section. The AFE CAI does not increase the cross section because that requires careful design and tuning adjustments and increases the price.

Furthermore superchips is the least developed tuner for the S197, they have been tweaked and perfected the least amount of time which means their gains will be low.

However despite the cheap prices of these products they are not economical.

You spent $500 to get an increase of 16 horsepower crank.
You could have spent $600 and bought Brenspeeds C&L Racer CAI you would have an increase of 34 horsepower at the crank.
You could have also bought a K&N filter and tuner you and could have had the same gains for $300.

The point is i anyone else looking to get a CAI. One of the top CAI's from one of the top companies with the top tuner and one of the top tunes is the most economical purchase, anything else you buy will be less economical and slower.

actually all i spent was $310. Actually when i went to the auto shop the AFE filter flowed about 40% better than the stock filter. I dont know about any other test but I know my car is a lot stronger than it was yesterday. I will know more this weekend after getting the car dynoed.
