Upgrading to 3.73

Upgrading to 3.73
Just bought a 2010 Grabber Blue GT Premium. This is my third late model GT. Love them!
This car came with great options, but only had the standard 3.31 gears. So, part of my deal was that I buy the 3.73s and they will install them for free.
I also have the option to buy the parts anywhere, in case they have too big of a mark-up.
They've quoted me $552.48 for the gears (8R3Z-4209-E) and $515.81 for LS (no part number).
Are these the right parts and where can I get the best deal?

These ford racing gears were only 175.00 and im not sure if you will need a bearing kit being that the car is brand new. but 500 is way to high. Bearing kit is only 80 bucks.

bought my gears for $160, had them installed for $200. No install kit used, just replaced pinion bearing.
However, I did call Ford before hand to see what they'd charge. It was almost $1000, so I'd avoid using the dealership unless you absolutely have to.

buy the Ford Racing kit online & buy the partial bearing kit
then let the Dealership do the install. I've got 3.73 from the Factory and they are nice...but if you are staying N/A, get the 4.10 gears.
we're only talking 100-200 RPM on the highway, and the down low grunt will make a real difference.

+1 I love my 4.10's... just had them installed last week and over a year ago I bought them for $150. I paid one of my coworkers who's a certified mechanic to install. All I bought was a pinion bearing for $15, Install Kit $40, 3 Bottles of Royal Purple Gear oil. So all said and done it wasn't anything close to the 500 for just the gears. Buy them then bring them to the stealership...

Why are y'all changing the pinion bearing? There are only three sacrificials in the rear end, the carrier shaft retaining bolt, the crush sleeve and the pinion nut. I'm not a big fan of Ford's 8.8 LS rear end and if it were me, I'd replace it with either a locker or an Auburn Pro LS while I was doing a gear change.
Another thought if you want to save yourself the mess of tearing apart a rear end is to get a new complete takeoff rear end. $849 at this site:

I thought I was being ignored because I haven't received any emails that I've had replies. Then I come here now to check and see lots of responses.
Thanks everyone!
Yeah, I want the 3.73 and to add the limited slip. I may do more to the engine later, so I think 4.10s might be too much after other mods.
I'll contact American Muscle. They appear much more reasonable than what my dealer quoted.
