Arrow To wait or not to wait

In the past I have had an 04 mustang gt and an 06 mustang gt. Once my husband totalled my car I decided to get a Lincoln Zephyr. I hate it. I am looking into getting another mustang but I can't decide if I should go ahead and get an 2010 mustang gt or wait for the 2011 to come out. According to my dealer. The 2010's that were just released will be considered a year old after march 1st because that's when the 2011 are being released. So therefore in 6 months the vehicle is considered a year old. That's BS I think.. does anyone have any opinion about what I should do?

Well how much do you hate the Lincoln? lol The 2011's have some nice things rumored about them, I guess it's just up to you if you want to wait that long.

If you wait till the 2011 comes out im sure you can find a dealership that is willing to let a 2010 go for a great price. Personally I don't like the trim and some of the styling on the 2010 so I am interested to see what they look like in 2011.

07_FltRoc_GT - they won't change anything in a year from 2010 to 2011. The only thing that is rumored to change are the engine options. It's RUMORED there will be a 265 hp 3.7L and a 400 hp 5.0. Ford will not be officially announcing their engine plans for 2011 until December of this year.

To the op, yes, by march of next year the 2010 will be a year old because OEM's start their production year in June/July or sometimes ealier like in the case of the 2010 where they started being available in April/May.

The 2010 Camaro started production even earlier (Like february).

Anyways, if you can wait two more months then decide that may be best. They are bumping the power up on the Mustang for 2011 but no one is 100% certain to what and how until December. It will still look the same.

yeah thats kind of what i was afraid of...i just wish they would get rid of those ugly black plastic runners at the bottom of the car. It makes it look really cheap to me.

Oh, if only that were the only issue I had with the 2010 (black rockers). That rear is just.....

Very true. I just like the earlier models 05-09 cuz i think they look more like the old fast backs, especially the back end.

I’m waiting for the 11s because I think they will fix the back end. If not I’ll wait until they do.

TMEmommy: It looks like you will be looking at the GT model if the past is any indication. If you are interested in the power of the GT, wait until the 2011 model when the GT will most likely have a 400HP 5.0 Liter V8.
