Default 4.10s INSTALLED!

Well I finally got my FRPP 4.10s installed last week at Real Street Performance in Longwood. Thanks to those on the forum who recommended Jay at Real Street, they did a great job with the install. This mod really woke the car up. It has great low end acceleration and the highway RPMs are fine, right at about 2850 doing 80mph. I already have an SCT so correcting the speedometer was simple.

Here is the breakdown of my costs to do this mod:

Gears: FRPP “A” code gears from Gary Yeomans Ford - $149.00 (They had them listed for $180 and I talked to the parts manager and told them I could get them a lot cheaper online but wanted to buy locally and he knocked the price down to $149.00)

Install: www.realstreetperformance.com $300 for the install, $30 for various shims, seal, and gear oil.

Total with tax $510.00

Nice! I love my 4.10s also.

Me and my friend installed mine and he gave me a set of 4.10s for free so everything was free except the fluid for me

Have any problems with whine or anything?

Sounds like someone did it right. I hate how so many shops do it wrong, its not very hard to install gears, it just takes a while.

No noise at all. Jay at Real Street stated they do several sets of gears a week. So they are very familar with setting up the 8.8 rear end. Also as long as you take him a good Ford gear, he will stand behind it and cover it if it did whine. I highly doubt you would have any though. I have driven about 400 miles so far on them and have never listened to my car so hard. I have yet to hear anything coming from the rear end.
