Default center jack point

Is there a safe location to use a floor jack in the front center of the car? Is the front cross-member strong enough to get it in the air so i can use jack stands on the sides? would this be a bad idea?

Yes, i use the front crossmember all the time and place the jack stands where the frame comes from the back and turns to the right or left like:

on the corner bits

same place as a Hoist lift

would it be ok to just use the jack stands where the side lift points are? thats what i've always done in the past on previous cars.
