Default Daytime running lights

Hi. Just came back from driving through Eastern KY, Virginia and Tennesee.
Going through a lot of shadows and some light rain, I would have liked to have had my headlights on but I do not have the My Color feature and I find the dark green instruments extremely hard to see when it is not totally dark out.

I could not help to think that ford should have put day time running lamps on these cars!

Anyone agree withme on that? Almost every car on the road (new) has them!!!

Still trying to figure out how to wire to get them LOL

Hmm, did they do something different up here in the Great White North then? I don't have the My Color package either, but I have daytime running lights, and when I drive thru a tunnel or somewhere dark without the regular headlights on, my gauges are bright white......

Actually... you could have gotten them if you ORDERED the car with them.

Installing them AFTERWARD is a serious and major wireing redo.

Just ad a couple of fog lights in your lower front intake and rig them to come on when you start the car. Bang.. instant DRL's.

Here in the great white north DRLs are required by law. I did notice that the gauges are lighted with white light anytime the ignition is on with the lights off. The owner's guide indicates this also. I assumed that with the gauges being recessed so far that visibility during certain daytime conditions would be an issue without it and that this would be standard on all models but the American verions don't have this??

I meant with my headlights ON, I have trouble seeing the dark green lit guages.
I love how they light up white during the day.

No, the American versions are backlit white with the parking/headlights off, best seen at dusk.

Well, I live in "The Great White North" and mine doesnt have DRLs. I got used to them on my '97 Chevy truck and kinda wish the Stang had 'em.
