Default Anyone stayed with 17s

Tried searching and didn't find anything. My question is has anyone stayed with 17s and got some aftermarket wheels. I dont mean stay with the stock wheels. I mean go out and get new 17s and tires, instead of getting 18s or 20s. I see alot of 18s and 20s. Also I love these wheels below but they only come in 17s. Just wondering if anyone has done the 17s route. Please post pics. Thanks

Probably not. Most people that are willing to spend some cash usually upgrade to 18's or 20's.

17s are badass dude, Had 20's, hated them. Wagon wheels with rubber bands. 17's get great traction, ride better, and tires are cheaper . I have 2 sets of 17's one for winter and one for summer.

The problem with 17s is that it somewhat limits you w/regard to getting a wide tire with a stock height. That and the widest rim in 17 you can get is a 9" from what I've seen.

i stayed with 17's .. but i like 18's too.. 20's look ghetto, might as well have dice hanging from the mirror and dog nuts hanging from the bumper.

I like the 17's if you can get something in the same general OD and wider than 255's for the back. Some tire manufacturers will allow a 275 on a 9" wheel. And with some luck you can find a tire that has some sidewall to add to the pure sex retro look.

+1 on 20's looking ghetto. I want people to notice my car with the wheels accentuating the muscle look, not a set of wagon wheels that just look too big for the car.

I've been spying these exact wheels myself. No, there are not a lot of 17's with the correct back spacing and offset to accomodate the S197. I agree as well that the bigger rims look just like wagon wheels with rubber bands on them. 18's aren't too bad, just more money for the wheel and the tires when you upgrade. I wish they made a 17 deep dish 9 in an anthricite bullit. The 17x9's I have seen are pretty much stock dish looking.

I ditched my 18" fanblades for 17" stockers. Much better performance at the track.
