Default how much could i bore out the V6?

hey guys,

i was wondering how much i could bore out the 4.0 V6, as you know its a 245CID and i was wondering if you guys think i could bore it out to somewhere around 280?

how much does it cost to bore out the engine?

and i was thinking about getting cams, should i wait till i get the cams before i bore it?

and what kind of internals would i need to replace for this? just forged pistons?

You get very little additional cubic inch displacement from boring the cylinders (typically .010 .020 or .030 over). For real additional displacement you need to increase the stroke of the piston travel with different crankshaft and connecting rods. (thus the term "stroker" engine).
