Couldn't he just go to the dealer and have them reflash the pcm? Then it would be back to true stock, right? Then upload the Brenspeed tune for the Steeda.

I've used my SCT on two cars now. Totally worth the cost. First on was a 2V 4.6 in a Crown Vic... tune alone was worth a full second in the quarter along with an INCREASE in milage... For the Stang, it's worth the gain in throttle response alone! I gave up about 2mpg, but no complaints at all..

If you car already has a tune for the CAI you may not feel a big difference after retuning it. Of course all tuners are a bit different, but you won't feel as big of a jump in power as if you were starting from stock.

It's still a good idea to get your own tuner so you know exactly what's running on your car and you can do further adjustments in the future.
