Default Hurst short throw shifter?

The guy who sold me my SHR louvers for $40.00 (he wrecked his GT) is willing to sell me his Hurst short throw shifter as well. He said he gave the shift **** to a friend that's why he is asking so little.
Do you guys think it's worth it? If any of you who are interested let me know, I have a manual, but at the moment I'm saving for a CAI/Tune.

First you need find out if it is a Hurst Billet or Comp Plus as the latter is not much better than the stocker. Also keep in mind a replacement shifter ball is ~ $35. Does it still have the chrome handle?? All these will help determine the value.

It's a comp plus and yes it does still have the chrome handle. Has all the bushings and brackets and it uses all the stock hardware thats in the car now.

From your pic it looks like you have a V6, if the shifter is out of a GT it won't work. If I'm mistaken, and it's a good deal (say, 1/2 off or so) I'd go for it, then order your choice of shift **** from Hurst. I'm quite pleased with mine. A little gun oil every 6-9 months or so and it's quiet as can be.

Yeah watch it girl...
V6 and GTs have different trannies, thus different shifters.
