I noticed they are now charging 300 bucks for them, back in 2006 when they introduced their shifter I only paid 200 bucks for it lol.

I was also one of the first 100 to get the new WGW. I've had mine for for like 3 years with absolutely zero issues. I couldn't be happier with mine. I guess anybody can build a lemon.
Sorry about your luck.
Did MGW make it right?

Same here, I was one of the 100 also and I've had zero problems, it's a great shifter. It's a great company with great customer service on par with Brenspeed.

Yea George made it right and just gave me my money back, the shifter just wouldn't work with the car, the thing just has to many parts that can work themselves loose over a period of time, and with the abuse I was putting my 05 through at that time could of been the reason it fell apart, just couldn't take my abuse and hard powershifts......I never felt right with the shifter, even with lock-tite and lock washers, I always found something that had worked it self loose, and this was checking it every other day for a couple of months,

I have the hursh and it does a great job. I do like the chrome parts they make and hoping to find a discount for them some where.

I purchased an MGW shifter for my 2011 Mustang GT on 8/29/11. I just received it yesterday, Monday the 7th of November. I installed the shifter today on the 8th. Well, boys there's a new Shifter in town. This piece is priced so reasonably!!!!! It is the Max for smooth, crisp and short shifts. I spoke with George (I don't know if he's the owner or not or an engineer or both) and he is very sharp in the tech department. I can't say enough about the shifter, other than KUDOS to all who participated to make this piece of artwork possible. I think they are geniuses!!!!! Not to hard to install. I'm 65 years old and it took me a slow 1 1/2 hours to get the old shifter out, that's procuring all the tools, jacks, and getting the car off the ground. So about an hour to really take out and tag all the original shifter parts. As I said, I'm old and it took me 2 1/2 hours to put the new MGW in by myself. When installing one of these, a little helpful tip is to attach the swing arm to the lower shifter box shell with 2 of preinstalled studs and only put the nuts on 2 turns as this will hold it in place while you put the bushings on the shaft and install the top half with the shifter opening. You have to play with this a little but have no fear it goes O.K. Have fun and don't hesitate to purchase one of these short throws from MGW, as they are excellent in quality, value, sturdiness, smoothness and it works great. Have fun boys, go get the Chebby's!!!!!!
