For those of you who have convertibles, I had a vibrating noise that I couldn't pinpoint for quite a while and it really annoyed me. It turned out it was the latch that you close the convertible top with. Whenever it does it I have to tap that once and the noise goes away. One of the drawbacks of having an exhaust that causes mild vibration I guess.

Any idea what the solution/problem may be. Your the only other person i know that has the SAME PROBLEM as me. I think it may be something to do with the transmission because we both have automatics..

Any ideas?

Ford said they were unable to replicate the noise. I'm gonna go down there and hope that my engine is cold enough to make the noise.

I have the same noise, what i did for them to hear it was left the car one night and went in the morning for them to hear it, then they performed the TSB replacing the plate but the buzz continues i guess i can live with that...

Okay. I just got my car back. It is still making that noise. However they did do the TSB for the doors rattling and now my car is completly RATTLE FREE !!!

If they did the TSB and your car is still making that noise should i get them to replace the plate too?

I still have around 12,000 miles left on my warranty so i guess ill just wait it out and see what happens.

Red the TSB so you can decide whether you want to do or not, this buzzle noise on mine could be some of the noise that Nuke talks about, but i havent check those.

Maybe in yours the plate will fix it, if i was sure about the fix i would do it.

See the only problem is that the TSB over the separator plate is for manual transmissions, not automatic. And I have an automatic.

My separator plate is driving me crazy. It is cold here (low 40's), and it is very annoying. I had the TSB done where they replace the plate, but it didn't do anything. I think my next option is to squirt a generous coating of silicone glue all around that thing.

I've also developed a loud popping (electric sound) coming from my radio, it seems, when I turn the key to start the car. It is very weird. I guess I'll get all this stuff checked out in January.

So for none of us the TSB worked. Here is cold too and im hearing that noise louder... So as workaround before heading to work i start up the car for 5 min until it warms and thats all.

I have the same noise but I live in Florida, so no cold. Under heavy acceleration I get this metal tinging buzzing sound, my theory is it's in , belt, alternator, ac, fan etc.. Mine is a stick. Did it from day one.
