FRPP Hot Rod cams installed! Holy crap!
Yep I'm one of them.

I don't see how Brenspeed doesn't know about this issue and how to fix it.
They were supposedly working on this issue for my tune last wednesday but I have never heard back. I told them I guarantee if they take an auto test car and put these cams in it (I'm sure Thumprs would have the same issue) and go into some heavy traffic or at least simulate it they would see the problem.
I finally got my bama tune's idle issues fixed and like Doug says, the O/D light issue is gone. He and Wes @ TPS know the solution. My Brenspeed tune is more powerful feeling than my Bama tune, but at lest my Bama tune WORKS. I'm kind of disappointed with Brenspeed right now. All they wanted to do is play the blame game and keep on denying the issue is their tune saying over and over they have thousands of tunes in the field etc etc. Bah.
I have a BBR tune that, while has the best low end torque of any tune I've ever had, it has serious idle issues AND the O/D issue. It's been almost a week and I have not heard back from those guys either.
I'll probably still get a dyno tune in the next month or two once the shops open back up.
I think the problem is most who get cams like this, do not have an auto and most that do, probably do not DD their car in heavy traffic. That's probably why Brenspeed has not seen the issue. That and most end up with a dyno tune when getting cams anyway and use an email tune as a crutch to get there.
I still hope to get my Brenspeed tune fixed since I did have to pay $75 for it. As it is now, it makes me nervous driving the car w/ that tune b/c I know as soon as I see heavy traffic, it's going to *** up and I'll have to go to manual shifting until I can pull over and turn off and back on again.

It probably won't happen with a cam that doesn't chop like the Hot Rods/Thumprs/SPRs. The Comp NSR has an idle very close to stock so I wouldn't think that cam would do it.
See the other HotRod cam thread I just posted to in the V8 section if you dare.
This seems to be a very common problem w/ auto guys. It's a shame some tuners seem to not know about this issue. Very strange indeed.

Congratulations and well done on your choice of Cams (IMO). You are going to love not only the lopey sound but also your car shaking at stop lights (LOL) . Love it..!!!
Suggest you might want to consider a nice set of Long Tubes with them though. Enjoy and have fun....!!

Mine is actually the same, lol.
I did a test last Friday. I got gas in the morning, cleared all the data in the dash readout, and from there all the way to work (35-40 miles from the gas station I stopped at) I was getting 25mpg the whole way doing mostly 70, sometimes a little less.

I am not such a prude after all.. I love the sound of CAMs and do want sound when I open up the cut outs, I don't mind a lope with the stock exhaust system. I just don't want it "too noticable" daily or next a cop lol. Cut outs are bad enough! (-;
I'll have to email for a tune now from Bama, knowing how it's been to get a hold of tunes.. it may take FOREVER. Doh!
When you say the O/D flashed on and off.. was it just the warning light, or was it actually engaging/disengaging as you were driving?!?!? Now THAT I can see as posing a problem.. yikes.. not fun.
