Default Engine cleaning?

I live in an apartment. Don't have a hose or a pressure washer or a steam cleaner.

What's the best way to clean the engine without all the above? Thanks.

Find a place you can spray it with simple green, let sit for about 30 minutes, hose off.

You can go to the nearest gasoline station.. Some of them have cleaning services..

Just be sure you don't spray a hot engine with cold water; you could crack something.

Cover the battery, underhood fuse box, and air filter assembly.

There are instructions onn how to clean the engine in the manual as well, and what not to get wet. I was looking at them just a week or 2 ago.

I'm probably gonna get it done at a car wash. Atleast I have someone to blame if they **** it up.

Just put a towel over the battery, air intake, and fuse box and don't spray directly on any of those parts. Spray lightly with engine de-greaser and let it sit. Rinse it off and get some of the stuff they sell at auto zone to shine up the plastic parts. Oh, and don't do it in your garage or driveway, it'll leave a big f'in mess.

just go to a car wash center, not a drive through, an actual one where people do it, and just have them clean it for you, not cheap, but thats their job and they can do it pretty good.

Simple Green works wonders. Best stuff for the engine that I have used.
