Default Is the glassroof GT pretty slow compared to the coupe and convertible?

I just watched some video on youtube, the guy was driving a glass roof gt throughout the united states, and he got a ticket for doing a 92 in a 75 in oklahoma. well i remember hearing about the glass roof stang when it came out, and i heard it added quite a bit of weight to the car. what kind of 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times do you think the glass roof would be capable of stock? that is with 5 spd manual, and 3.31 gears.

It adds a little weight, but I would think it should be negligible compared to the total weight of the car, and shouldn't make much difference for perf numbers overall. I love mine.

sweet! yeah i think the glass roof looks way badass on the car, i wish i had one. sometimes sucks not havin a sun roof lol. i see you have a 335i, i just had a forum thing on here about those. how does it feel in comparison to your mustang from a roll or dig? i was getting alot of different answers. some people saying that i could hang with it stock, and then others saying i'd get pulled on. did you ever line your 335 and mustang up?

If I remember correctly I believe the glass roof adds 50lbs. It does lift the center of gravity of the car slightly....not sure how noticable that is.

I've heard that it is only 25 pounds heavier. This was from "groot", a Ford engineer on the TMS site. Lost the post when that site "crashed" last year though.

Whatever, I wouldn't have a Mustang without one.

I would guess that the glass roof adds less weight than the convertible top and motor, and probably provides for better rigidity.

You mean on the '11's? I would assume so. On the '10's, you could not get the glass roof with the Track Pack or with the Stone interior.

The glass adds less weight than what you'll put on if you keep eating all those candy bars, chips, ice cream and cake and washing it down with a lot of beer.

You can lose more weight in the car than what the glass adds by doing just a couple of the weight reduction mods.
