American Muscle tuning...
Alright, so around the forums I've noticed a lot of people order/get thier tunes from brenspeed. So far on a few products including my Steeda CAI and tuner I've been ordering from American Muscle. They are an outstanding company to order from, from my experience, and their customer service is extremely helpful. I am currently running the 93 Octane tune from American Muscle. My question is, do the "custom tunes" from AM and the tuning from Brenspeed vary at all?
Thanks.
Thanks.

i have not had tuning from either.
i have tunes from VMP and dyno tunes.
but the consensus is Brenspeed, Bama, VMP, etc are better for custom tunes.
i've ordered other stuff from AM and their cust service is great.

Yes, Brenspeed's CUSTOM tunes are superior to AM's more-than-likely CANNED tunes which probably come from Diablo or SCT, depending on which tuner you get. Since Brenspeed writes their tunes, they can also provide better tech support in the event the tune needs modifying (which is quite common).
Let me get this straight. I have a JLT intake and an SCT 3 tuner that I purchased from CJ pony parts. I gave them some infor about my car and a number on my ECM.
If I understand this, a tune from Brenspeed would make my car perform better if CJ pony parts uses a canned tune???

I don't think anyone truly knows if it is better unless they have actually tried the specific AM or CJ (or any other canned tune) that you are asking about AND a custom email tune. The consensus, however, is that many people are extremely satisfied with custom email tunes.
I had my tune done on a dyno (and I'm happy with it) but have been considering an email tune from brenspeed for some time now just to see if there is a difference.

I've ordered from AM a few times including last week and they are great! The stuff I order from them though is eyecandy stuff. But, if you want a tune you want one that has been developed on a dyno from a car with similar mods as yours in order for it to run efficiently through the entire rpm band. Thats why when it comes to ordering performance parts for the powertrain I have always purchased those through Brenspeed.
They have run a ton of cars on their dyno and have a nice stash of tuning files on hand in which to start with or even have a perfect match for the mods you have. Example in point, when I ordered my Hot Rod cams they had just dyno'd a guys car there after installing those exact cams who happens to be a member on this forum. He had similar basic mods as I did like intake and exhaust. So after I installed my cams they sent me that tune free since I bought the cams from them and the car runs awesome.
I think AM and Brenspeed are both great and they each have their niche. So IMO, Brenspeed for tunes without a doubt!

Prior to going FI with the ROUSH M 90, I purchased an SCT from AM and it came with 3 tunes, one of which was the 91 octane performance; the car was stock with the exception of a K&N drop in air filter. The tune made a noticable difference across the entire RPM range, the car was much more responsive, especially from 3000 RPM and beyond. Next came the Brenspeed; it was an improvement over the AM tune in every respect, especially off idle response and below 3000 RPM. Tillman's "All Out" was next up; it performed somewhere between the AM and Brenspeed. I tried getting a tune from VMP but, after waiting 24 business days, I cancelled the order and received a refund. I didn't even try to get a tune from Bama after reading many posts about Doug's issues. Of the tunes I've tried, the Brenspeed was the best and their customer service was outstanding!
