Default Quote on gears

Ok so im going for the 4.10 gears in the back. I got a quote from one company and it seems high to me. Can someone who had gears done let me know if this is to much. Thanks

I got mine for a little over $600 all said and done. That labor price is what I paid, but I supplied my own gears which helped cut done on the cost. Ask them if they install gears often, and their policy on gear whine.

i think that price on labor is a little high. Two shops in my area quoted me 400-450 for parts and install. Both were very reputable gear installation shops.

Hey ChiDiddy, what two shops was that, I assume they are some where around Houston. I got a verbal qoute about 4 months ago for $600 to put 4.10s in my Mustang.

The price on the gears is good, everything else is ridicilous.. I paid about 450 for everything, labor+install kit was around 250-275 and that was a bit high but I knew they would do a good job and i wouldn't get gear whine because a friend of mine used them before me.

Well Topless, in my opinion the total labour charge is kinda high here.
They are Charging you 6.10 hours.... you have got to be kidding !!!!. Should only take about 3 hours tops..!!!
