Default aftermarket deck

I installed an aftermarket deck in my car and every time it turns on I get a loud pop from my factory subs (shaker 1000). How can I fix this?

The factory subs are 5V and your deck 12V, you need to lower the voltage. A 1.5K Ohm resistor or a 5 Volt Fixed Voltage Regulator (Radio Shack #276-1770) will eliminate the pop, according to a thread on another site.

wow... again?

Lets see, maybe try the AUDIO section for audio problem. While your there, look at the sticky with all the nice pictures, part numbers, and wirring diagrams.

Its 2010, this issue has been known / solved seance the Mach systems in like 1995. Use the search.

Sorry if I offended you. Also 157 linked you a pic of the leads, you just have to splice and solder that into the remote line.

Taken from:
https://mustangforums.com/forum/audi...onstopred.html

"Voltage Regulator (Shaker 500 Only):

This is needed because the Ford Amplifiers in the Shaker 500 system require only a 5V turn on signal; however the Avic-D3 puts out 12V. This causes a popping sound to be heard every time the car starts up.

To fix this, you must put this regulator (7805 from Radioshack) in between the Blue/White System Remote Control output from the white Pioneer Harness (input) and the 2 Blue/White wires from the small Metra Harness (both go to the output) The middle of the regulator is for the ground. To make this easier, I took 3 pieces of the parking brake leftover wire and attached those to the Regulator, then to the other leads. "
