Default Help me select new tires please!

My wheels are 20x10 & 20x 8.5 black chrome bullitts. They currently have Toyo Proxes 4 295/30/20 & 255/35/20 tires. I have stock suspension and will never lower my car. I want the tires to fill the wheel well more. I'd also prefer a "cool-looking" tread pattern. From my searching around here it looks like I should go with 295/40/20 & 255/45/20 tires. I only put about 3000 miles per year on the car so I'd prefer to save some money versus a high mileage tire. It is never driven in snow and very rarely in rain. So... What should I buy and from where?

I'd say KDWs. They look crazy, have great traction in both wet/dry.

cons: they wear pretty quick, and are on the noisy side.

Am I correct that 295/40/20 & 255/45/20 is as big as I can go without issues? I want as wide and tall of a tire as I can get. Then I can tell my wife the car feels slow so I need 4.10 gears

You car run wider and taller, especially with stock height. 305/45/20s maybe?

Perhaps you could give this brand a try (and let us know if it's any good, lol)?

Dirt cheap, "cool looking" thread, W rated. I think it fits your needs.
I don't know why they are not more common around here. Maybe they wear out sooner?

Check it out.

I don't care about a cool looking tread pattern - that equals noise. I am happy with my bfg's. I would look on tire rack first and compare them to a local discount tire if you have one in your town.

I'm actually looking at General Grabber UHP. For the rears I'll go with 295/45/20 which is 30.45" in diameter. My choices for fronts are 265/50 or 255/45. How much smaller can the fronts be than the rears?
