Default Got Macs?

Hey everyone the pypes mid mufflers are a bit too loud so I am looking to find out some info on the Mac chambered mufflers. Not the boomtubes. Ive heard they drone terribly but other people say they don't drone too bad. So I'd like some feedback on how everyone likes their Macs. How loud are they in person? Good or bad sound quality? And how bad do they drone compared to other mufflers you've ran? Thanks.

I thought the straight through mufflers had less drone than the chambered. I had bassani chambered on the car and switched to LM1's and have alot less drone with the slp's.

I wouldn't say they are loud. They do drone quit a bit. I'm surprised you found the mid muffler system too loud.

I have never driven in a car with MACs so I don't know how bad the drone is. A friend of mine has a complete MAC set-up: MAC L/T, O/R prochamber, and MAC axlebacks. It sounds good. Surprisingly it's not really any louder than my set-up. The MAC set-up has more of a hollow sound.

I love them. They dont drone that much. Honestly 95% of the people who bitch about it have not experienced it and are just going off hear say. They arn't too loud, but have an awesome sound to them. They got 1000000x better with the addition of the o/r prochamber.

I've got the MAC axlebacks and love them. Yes, they drone considerably around 2k rpm, but down low they have a nice deep rumble and they just scream at high rpms. So all in all I think they are a great muffler as long as you can live with the drone in the small rom range.

Macs do drone like mad especially compared to the MM system you have now.

I have had them so I am speaking from been there done that.

They do sounds freaking awsome though and I changed them cause I was just trying out diff set ups and tried a good few and ended on the o/x with M-80's and SLP LM.

Sounds wicked mean out side the car and is so chill inside to any other set up I have ran.

Probably sounds similar to mine, x pipe with m80s and then magnapacks. I had the MACs before too, the only thing that killed me is that you really don't appreciate them as much without a prochamber, with that they are the best sounding IMO
