07 Gt Exhaust (I know, Sorry)
I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for (more then likely I overlooked it).
My GF just bought a 07 Gt and I would like to put an exhaust on it next week while she is out of town (she knows about it). I am looking at the magnaflow axleback, magnaflow magnapacks , or the SLP. I want it to be louder then stock (like I actually did something) but failry quiet and no drone on the HWY. This is a car she will be commuting in and needs to be comfortable and fun. I am think Magnaflow because I have it on my truck and love it, loud around town, but quiet on the HWY. My only concern is if it will be too much like the stock exhaust. But I wonder if it is so loud in the cabin because it is in a car and not a truck. I would go magnapacks, but I am concerned about the HWY noise. Any thoughts?

I don't think either Magnaflow will be an overpowering sound, I think the slp's make the car sound cheap, not a deep rumble at all. And since cabin noise and drone is an issue, stay away from stingers or mac. A little different than stock would be some gta's. Cheap price too.

Magnapacks will louder than the reg magnaflows and they have a nice deep rumble. I love how they sound on the hwy. With the stock catted H pipe, they are not too loud but they do drone a little. I don't know if it's bad as the MACs, but the drone is not as bad as the flow 40s.

on the truck I had flow 40's and the drone was so bad i used a dynomax bullet as a resonator. It helped but until i put the magnaflows I wasn't happy. I've listened to different videos online, but it is hard to tell how loud they are on a laptop.

exhaust question....hmmmm...if you are keepng the stock cats and h pipe, go with the a/t flowmaster axlebacks. it sounds good and not loud on the highway. check the vid i posted of this set-up...mind you, this was a cold start. there are so many choices, but this was my very first set-up and it had a good sound,IMO...or, take all the exhaust out, by a magnaflow catted tru-x and bolt up pypes mid mufflers...good luck

I'd recommend the Ford Racing FR500S, also on the Shelby KR. Louder than stock and aggressive, but civilized on the highway and no drone. I use them as a daily driver and I'm very happy with them. They also have an excellent seal with no leak whatsoever without any adjustment. I tried previously the GTA, Stingers, and SLP LM, they all ended on Ebay.

loud...I set off car alarms when in 1st gear in parking lots
on the highway, they had a wicked loud tone...I was actually considering pulling them off but I sold the car. Just too much noise.
did sound wicked when you gunned it though. just too much noise the rest of the time.
I love the normal Magnaflow mufflers though. Noise when you want it, but quiet when cruising. The Magnapacks even come with a disclaimer talking about how loud they are
