Default American Muscle TPMS

Anyone purchase a wheel/tire kit from American Muscle and have their Tire Pressure Monitoring System installed. It is half the price of other kits. It seems to be an aftermarket version. Is it any good compared to OEM?

We've had other posts like this and I guess I'm in the minority here but both my friend and I have them from AM and don't like them. Mine still sets off the buzzer upon every start up even though I've had them syncronized to the car. My friend had one of his cheap bands break driving home from the shop after just installing them. He went back and had a factory band put in that was of better quality.

I bought a set of wheels and the TPMS kit from them. I happen to think they worked out great. I didnt have any problem with the kit. If you follow the reset instructions and use the tool its so easy. Sounds like the other poster doesnt have them syncd up right yet. You have to turn the key to the on position but not start the car. Car will beep you when its ready to sync up each tire.

Aftermarket TPMS?
WHY?
Most are trying to get around the govt mandated, non-defeatable
OEM TPMS on the 07s and up S197s.
Those without it want it and those with it hate it.
Its like V6 front fenders without the emblem holes or
spoiler delete trunklids.
Those with holes dont want them and those without are
drilling them......

Why? Because I don't feel like having to push a reset button every time I start my car.

Got my wheels from American Muscle just before labor day last year. Had them install the TPMS sensors and not a problem since. Have at least 6000 miles on them.

i did not have AM install them, i only got the rims/TMPS/Bands from them, tires were later and i got them locally. They worked great all summer long, and i put ~15k on them. No problems with them.
