Since bama is kinda gone for the minute and Brenspeed dosnt do Diablo Tunes are there any other tuners out there that can make a tune for the Diablo Tuner. Thanks yall

Eric Brooks from brooksspeed also does email tunes for the diablo. I have his tune and use it often. Excellent tune, with no flat spots. He doesn't offer a tq, race, camaro killer tuner, ect. He can make adjustment to the tune. Here is the website: www.brooksspeed.com

 

I'm having a similar issue, I just picked up a Predator for $100, so I'm looking into getting a tune. Should I risk going with Bama, or should I shell out the extra 25 bucks and get a tune from Brooksspeed?

gman, if I do decide to go with Brooksspeed, could you tell me what some of the parameters you used were, i.e. EGR (off/on), idle speed, and rev limiter? I'm just looking to wake my car up, so I don't need a hardcore race tune, and I plan on using 89 octane with everything else stock.

I left my EGR on since I have cats. I think my idle speed is 750-800 and rev limiter is 6796 (can't set it to 6800 with predator). With the exception of the EGR all other parameters can be changed. He doesn't lock these options. I don't know if it's worth $25 more than bamachips; however, brooksspeed has a very fast response time. From a performance standpoint, both bamachips and brookspeed gave me similar dyno and track numbers.

 

Ditto - that's who I would recommend. Eric is more knowledgable with SCT but certainly capable with Diablo.

Race tunes just make the car feel like it's faster. It makes the throttle response more aggressive, but the car will not make higher dyno numbers and it will not be faster at the track. If you want a race tune, just tell Eric Brooks what you want. He can adjust the throttle response.

 

where can you pick up a predator tuner for 100 dollars everywhere i look they want 300 bucks and up

Dont get me wrong IM IN LOVE with my bama tune but poor doug has sooo much going on, I cant wait 2-3 weeks for a tune. Ill shoot eric an email and see what he can do ! I managed to get lucky on eBay, a guy was selling one for $129.99 OBO, so I jumped on it, walked away with it for $99.99. It's used and doesn't have any tunes on it, which is fine by me. Also comes with the PC interface. Now I just have to decide between Bama and Brooksspeed.. Wait a completely unknown amount of time for Doug's tune and pay 50 bucks, or pay $75 and get a quick turn around time.
