Try a ford dealer that has motorsports. Mine happens to have awesome mechanics. Maybe you will have luck.

Rick Erdman at Amazon Tuning in Pedleton, SC. He's about 3 hours NW of you on SC 28. Excellent Mustang tuner. I would think there would be someone in Augusta who could do it, though.

I like the mechanics at Bobby Jones ford but the dealerships here charge too much. But I am uncertain on how to find a good reputable shop.

To go with what the others are saying..... Just go to a few garages in your local area and ask them if they know of anyone who does gears. Once you get pointed in someone's direction, you can then make a determination about who you think is best to do it. You want to make sure, though, that they definitely know the "ins" and "outs" of installing gears. If someone is a novice, then you don't want them doing it. The last thing you want is to have to have it redone because someone didn't line something up properly. One thing I know about gears is that a bad install, even something small, can lead to those gears getting ruined. So, long story short..... Make sure you ask around a lot, and then make sure that whoever you're referred to will give you a warranty on their work. If they won't give you a warranty that backs up their labor, then walk out the door and find someone else.

Okay I will ask around. Thanks for the help. I decided to go with the 4.10 gears on my manual.

Fairway Ford: 800.00
Bobby Jones Ford: 1500

I bought my short throw from MGW today and they are installing it for free tomorrow.
