Tuning Problem...Need HELP!!!
I recently installed a procharger stage 2 on my 05 gt 5 speed.....
So my tuner and I have been struggling with a hiccup in the rpm range of about 2500-3000. The A/F ratio is smooth and where it needs to be all through the pull until it hits maybe 2750 when you are at half throttle and the A/F ratio hits 16 on the gauge for a second or 2 until you increase rpms over 3000 or it will continue to hiccup and start bucking from being lean if you keep the throttle where it is.
Now, it only happens while road driving, we could not simulate it on the dyno for some reason...sometimes the hiccup is worse than others. Anyone with some tuning knowledge would be of great help....we are using SCT for the tune.
Im just curious if maybe someone has had a problem similar and found a solution etc?
Thanks a lot!

I am having a lean problem up top from 6000-6500 that two tuners can't take care of. One tuner says it has to do with the anticipation of the computer. The computer anticipates how much fuel needs for the next rpm/throttle position expected. My tuner even dumped as much fuel as he could to try and get the A/F to come back rich and it did nothing.. Good luck man, it is frustrating
ok boomer the original post is a little
confusing, because i don't know if your
problems are happening during wide
open throttle or not.
if your problems are happening when
not in WOT, then i think you may want
to zero out the VCT tables below 4750.
your tuner may have already done this, but
since you didn't mention it i have to suggest
it. this will remove cam timing from the
equation and will simply keep the cams
in their max advance position, while
you are driving around and testing.
if your issue goes away, you will know it has
something to do with the cam timing. if it
doesn't go away, you can restore the VCT
after you find and fix whatever it is, causing
your problem.

You happen to have hit up Mike@Diablosport yet? I would, even though you are using a SCT tune, just to see if he has ever heard of this happening or could put you in touch with someone who could help. That has to be annoying though, it is no different than when someone brings a car in for repairs and suddenly it stops doing it when it gets to us. Good luck and keep us updated.
