Default rear mirror

I was driving my wifes fusion at night, and I notice the mirror has a anti-glare type of coating on it. Would there be a way to have that coating put on our mirrors?

EDIT: I just read that the mirror is a auto-dimming type. So I guess I can get the mirror from ford, and then connect it up to the fuse panel.

they have them for our cars. I forget the name of the package; but the active alarm system, heated seats, and the auto dimming mirror all come together.

its really nice, you never have to worry about the mirror being too bright, perfect amount of light. i have seen nice ones on the ford sites, with auto dimming and home link....

found some:

Sounds good - thanks for the help all. Now if I can only figure out how to wire this thing in since I don't usually wire anything on cars.

I've bought them off eBay brand new for a few cars. Install is easy. Usually you can run a wire across the headliner and down the pillar to the fuse box. Just need steady switched power for it.

Before I bought my 2010 Mustang, I was borrowing my fathers Mercedes and drove it for about 2 weeks while trying to decide whether or not to fix my 2004 F250 with 130,000 miles and needing the engine replaced at the tune of $6000. The Mercedes has auto dimming rearview mirror and exterior mirrors. I hated it, I couldn't see a damn thing. I actually called him to ask if there was a way to turn it off, he had no idea. I live by my mirrors and IMO that would drive me nuts in the Stang.

I installed one of these in my '10. Since I got the base GT (not premium) I didn't get the compass readout in the center stack. A compass was a must have for me so I bought and installed this. I like the auto dimming feature myself but there is a switch to shut it off if you don't want it.

It also has an outside temperature readout. Since my '10 already had that, I put the probe under the dash to monitor the interior temp instead.
