How do I find Title #?

I just got the car last week, I was about to order a personalized plate online through DMV but saw that I need the title#. It is blank on the insurance registration card, and I called the dealership but they don't have it and don't know how I can get it. Does anyone know what I have to do to find out this information? Thanks!

obviously you don't have the title which means your lienholder does. you can get the number from them.

look on your title..

or look on your title application.

or call the DMV

or call the lienholder

not in all states does the lienholder hold the title.......i live in ny i hold my title and there is a lien on it....but right across the border in jersey the lienholder holds the title....and by the way it takes (at least in ny) 45-90 days to get a title....but you get em same day in jersey....
