Default HOOD STRUTS

Has anyone made their own hood support with hydraulic struts?

it is doable, just need to be the right length and something for it to connect to.
heres a link to a cheap pair on ebay. $62 and free shipping.
i put these on my dad's 2008 GT CS. they went on great, took about 20 minutes and no drilling.

Thanks you guys for supporting the Chinese economy. That's why China is our master now and telling the President of the United States who he is allowed to meet with. Pay the extra $10 and buy Made in USA products that are worth the money.

Why make em when you can buy them pre engineered....
Sizing gas strut pressures and figuring force angles are a real biatch.
Get em too light and the hood wont stay open or too much pressure
and the hood could be bent from closing...

Why would I want to make my own.
I don't want my car looking like all the others, just a different color. Anyone can buy parts off the shelf. If I make them ,the mount will be a one off . May lazer cut or plasma cut , MUSTANG , or GT into the brackets. Maybe mix my own custom powder coat color . Possably mount LED's into the brackets. The options are endless
