Is this what it feels like?
Finally got my car back, drove it to work today. It's about 36 degrees outside, light moisture, salt, dirt, grime on the roads, cloudy, a mild breeze. I have stock Pirelli's and being summer tires on top of that.
I have been driving very mild due to those tires, between 50-60mph. I can already feel the lack of traction in the tires, as the car feels very light. Once I hit 55-60mph, I can start to feel some sway, maybe due to the breeze and summer tires? Just wanted to know if tires was an issue and not alignment. I have not done the "feel the steering" test as it was a bit unnerving driving it like it was already.

the stock pirellis are all season tires (the M+S on the tires designates this). Get some real summer tires and you wont hook for **** if its under 40* F outside. I've never felt afraid to turn though, and once you get some heat in the tires, they stick better.
I got summer tires and have driven the stang when it was around 30 degrease outside. REALLY bad traction, especially from a stop. Tires spin really easily. Since you have stock tires, as least your traction should be better but I guess still be cautious.
I think you are fine, as stated the stockers are not summer tires. I am sure you are a little more sensitive to things right now being the first time you have driven it since the wreck. You will be back to normally after a few drives
its 32 in north west florida today and my 305/35/18 Nitto 555Rs still rock.
OP- did the shop do an alignment before giving the car back? they should have. ask them for the print out or make them do it again and give you the print out. i had the same problem when i got hit last summer. the shop said they did the alignment but they really didn’t because they couldn’t get my car on the rack because it was too low. i could tell because i had damage to the chin when i went to pick it up. i just called the adjuster and the body shop that did the paint and they fixed it took it to a different alignment place which confirmed the other shop sucks at alignments or they didn’t do it. always get the print out as proof.

They were supposed to have done the alignment. I may have to go back today or tomorrow due to a blown speaker.. I have a feeling they blew it out for me. Must of been listening to my stereo. They did not put up a fight and I didn't push the subject. Just told me they would order the replacment. Anyways, getting OT here. I'll ask them about the alignment.
I must of picked up some false info while searching on various websites about my stock tires. I was going to dispose of them when I got my summer tires. They still have a decent amount of tread. My question is if I should keep these tires or pick up a set of winter tires for next year?
I may be just still stirred from my wreck, and I haven't driven much in the last few months, but I'll follow-up with the shop.
