I'm in a similar situation. I have an 06 v6 vert and was lookin to trade in for a gt. I hit a deer tho and insurance paid for everything to get replaced with original parts. no motor or mechanical issues, just cosmetic. I'm pretty sure the value of my car has decreased significantly tho

 

I've had a couple of accidents with other cars I've owned in the past and they just didn't seem the same to me after getting repairs so I always traded them in. But I love my S197 and if what you describe happened to me today, I think I would just get the whole car color match painted and let the modding begin!
