Default What tires are best

I'm getting new tires in a couple of weeks when I go home for spring break. I still have the stock p-zero nero's but the rear ones are pretty worn. I've put 12k miles on the car, and I'm pretty sure they are the same tires that were on the car when it was new. What tires do you guys suggest getting? I know tires aren't cheap, but for best performance what should I look at? Thanks

Best... I HATE the word BEST. Someone give me a sharp object to poke in my eyes.

That depends on how you drive, where you live, if the car will be driven in cold, if the car will be driven in snow, if you motor-X, track...

Lots of variables.

I like Michelin Pilot Sports, but that's just me. Nuke's right, what's right for me might not be right for you.

Also, what is your price range? Do you need a tire with long treadlife or a sticky tire that may not last half as long? As I stated above, provide us with info to help us toss out recommendations.

Like what everyone else has stated.. depends on what you're looking for.

As for summer tires, I will be getting Nitto 555's extreme performance next. Read they were great tires, pretty sticky to the road and handle well in the rain. Of course, can't drive them in cold/winter conditions.

I picked up some Toyo Proxie 4's for my non-winter driving. I hope they'll be ok.

555's will be the next set going on my car. I'm surprised by the F1 supercar tires that came on the gt500 take offs I recently purchased. They aren't as bad as I had been led to believe, a little noisy though. Almost new tires and wheels for $800 means I can live with a little noise.

not really sure what the price range is. my dad said he'd help me out with the tires. its almost spring, so i wont need to worry about cold weather for another 10 months or so. how much are the nitto 555's? i just want to get rid of the pirelli's. sure they are alright but idk, i've heard alot of bad reviews about them.
