Default Scooped & Scraped!

You wouldnt beleive what happen to me the other day. While attending class at LSU someone hit my car while backing out and it scraped the side of my car thing god that i have a side scoop because most of the damage was do to it. where if i didnt have it, it would have damaged my car alot more. i didnt acctually see the guy hit my car but after a hour or so of thinking about it i figured that he was eighter pulling in or backing out.

ANYWAY my question is does anyone know how to safetly remove the side scoops on a 2009 mustang GT/CS? what is holding them on clips or tape? i was going to orders some OEM factory ones that come painted from bangastang.com i just dont want to do more damage to my car trying to get them off. any help would be greatly appericated. Ill post pics of damage.

Instead of paying $350 for the scoops, which is very high you can get them from ford for less tha that. Go to the spoiler store on Ebay and look at the OEM scoops. They are $150 shipped. Im sure you can find a local body shop to paint them for less than a hundred bucks. Go here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

well shouldnt the insurance cover that? does the gt/cs have higher insurance then a standard gt? anyways, im like 99% sure its done with 3M tape, some goo-b-gone and fishing line should do the trick.

It has the 3M tape around the outer edges as well as 2 plastic push in connectors towards the middle area.

Insurance will pay for another scoop. Why worry about taking it off?

What do you mean my insurance just like most others has a $500 deductable which means i have to pay the first 500 before they pitch in and help. but even if they did i would still have to remove the one that i have on there before i can put another one on the car... durrr.
