What type of door speakers should i go with in the 06 guys ? Im wondering what kind of setup alot of you are running, including swapping out the subs in the front, they are 8"s right?

 

I have a Pioneer DVD 4000 model in the dash. I stuck Pioneer Priemeers in my doors. They are 8's. Hooked them up to a 300rms/600max Kenwood amp. I had the inside of the door cut out and remade the box so the sub would not stick out. The sub will need about an inch spacer if you do not. Added some dyomatting (Much needed if you do any aftermarket subs to the doors). Plan on doing a french cover (Flat plate look) in the back with my two JL Audio 10's to a 1000rms JL audio amp out of my 98 GSX. The stock speakers sound clear and high, so I probably will leave those stock until im done doing HP mods.

that sounds pretty cool. but how would it sound with a set of the shallow 8" subs with the factory amp hooked to them? im going to install a set of mb quart components in a kick panel soon also

 

You can not use the stock amp. It is a different ohm load. I think 1.2 ohms. I was thinking the same thing at first.
