Default Added installed radar detector

I had a new radar detector installed this week. Just wanted to post a few pics of the install. I was very happy with the work they did. The unit is by Escort and is the Passport 9500ci. My picture taking skill sucks.

here are the controls

here is the display

here is the rear sensor/laser jammer below plate area

and the front

Very Nice! With that car, you'll need a good detector. Enjoy.

Here is an info link for this. It doesn't jam radar, but jams laser.

Thanks for the compliments. Thanks for the link americaniron, exactly it only jams laser, it does it automatically then idea is to slow down then turn off jamming so they can get a reading. I paid $250 less than list, but still a huge investment for a radar detector. I did it for a couple reasons. A state cop recently told me if you get pulled over and they see a detector they are likely to give as many tickets as they can. For me thats window tint, no front plate and speeding. I wanted a more hidden detector. I have also had a window broken and a detector stolen, that sucks. I will post some more info/opinions when I have had a chance to use it for a while.

Actually, it's all very ironic. It's been proven that it's practically impossible to jam radar, and any unit advertising that is false. However, they are illegal. Laser jammers work flawlessly, and are legal. But hey, I'm not complaining.

And what the cop said seems to be common knowledge. Obviously it isn't illegal in NJ, but if I were a cop I would give tickets for anything I could too.

But definitely a sweet system you have.
