Default need help with tuning

ok, so i got C&L street cai, not installed, and want to buy tuner and gears. I know the gears need a tune so if i get 4.10s, and buy tuner from brenspeed, will they be able to send me a tune for both of these mods at the same time...sorry not sure how this all works. Also, when I get a new mod do i need a whole new tune? and i understand it has the feature to go back to stock...why would u do this if u have upgraded parts???

You might have to go back to stock for inspection. As far as different tunes for different gears, that would depend on whether you have manual or auto. If you have a manual you can adjust the axle on the tuner itself and do not need brenspeed to update your tunes, however if you have an auto you cant do it yourself and will have to pay Brenspeed $10 to update your tunes to the new gears. They can do both at the same time CAI & Gears.

When you request an email tune you will indicate what gears you have, tire size, PCM code and mods, so yes brenspeed will send you a tune for both your CAI and gears at the same time.

They can send you a tune for both mods at the same time. You might not need a new tune every time you get another mod, as it depends on the mod. Usually, if it has something to do with fuel/induction, that's when you'll need another tune.

Like 2010V6 said, some people put their cars back to stock for inspection, if you have to have inspections in your area. Also, it is common practice to put your car back to stock before loading a new tune onto it.

You can adjust the rear gear ratio yourself if you have an automatic. I have an auto and I have an SCT X3 tuner and I changed my rear gear ratio on my own with the tuner.
