Default Need exhaust advice....

So I got my 2010 GT about a month ago. Absolutely loving it, but now I have a little bit of the mod fever. I don't want to spend a lot of dough right now, but there are a few things I want to do. I ordered a K&N air filter, should be in tomorrow. Next I'm looking at a magnaflow exhaust system.

My question is: with the system that comes on the car, is there any real benefit to a cat back system as opposed to an axle back? I plan on replacing the H pipe with an X pipe at some point as well. Here are the two systems I'm looking at:

http://magnaflow.com/02product/shope...ne=all&id=3355

http://magnaflow.com/02product/shope...ne=all&id=3358

I can get the cat back for $527, or the axle back for $400. What do you guys think?

Everyone has a different opinion. I honestly don't like the sound of an x-pipe and flow-thru style muffler. I perfer the o/r hpipe and chambered muffler, in my case I'm running Magnaflow (not the magnapacks). I also have cams so the hpipe helps give the old muscle car type sound. Good luck in your decision...it is really hard to make a V8 sound bad unless you just cut everything off.

You could buy my off road h-pipe, tuner and intake for $500. That would really wake up your car!

Default exhaust

do your home work. find a exhaust will not drone (corsa-kr)mags do drone, flows do drone and there are many others that have the drone. If can't find what you want in corsa or kr, you will be taking the others off eventually.
