Default Trunk Weatherstrip

Is the weatherstrip in the trunk supposed to sit outside of the tail light housing or tucked inside it?

The body shop did a poor job and left parts tucked in and other sitting out and some parts cracked/ripped. My gut feeling is that the weather strip needs to sit out to create a seal. If no one can understand this question, I'll take pictures tomorrow lol.

Gonna go w outside unless either I don't understand what you mean, or mine is messed up too.

Yeah, I need pics. Can't make heads or tails of what you're asking.

Can't believe this got lost in my subscription folder. Sorry fellas.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Think I have mine installed like that. The gamma on my monitor is making it slightly difficult to see lol.

The plastic screw on the right side feels a little stripped.
