My Chevy truck ones pull right off. Makes cleaning the dash a little easier; to get in the nooks and crannies. Do they make full replacement *****? I haven't seen any.....

I thought about getting satin silver ***** until I found out once you pull the ***** off, you say goodbye to them. I don't like the cover ups either so I'm using stock ***** still. I think otherwise I read somewhere you have to remove the whole console and take the ***** out.

alkemist, if your car is an '06, you can just pull them straight out and put them right back on.

I bought a set of aluminum ones from Steeda. Easy as pie to install. You just have to be super careful not to drop the little locking collars that you need to put into the ***** so they stay on the post. They aren't covers. Full replacement billet aluminum. Nice quality. $35 bucks, I think.

I dropped one of those damn sleeves and it vaporized... Ended up slicing up one of my originals to get the sleeve from it.

As long as the car is '05 or '06 you won't have any trouble at all.

I bought a set of 3 from MGW Ltd for my 06 and couldn't be happier with them.
I looked at others, but didn't want the tape-on ones because they would cover up my indicator lights at night. An added plus is that they are actually chromed steel *****, not the cheap looking plastic ones from the factory.
Installation took about a minute for all 3. Simple pull off and replace.

Sweet. Another mod to keep in mind. I forgot which ones I was looking at though, maybe they were the SHR ones.

I looked at several before I decided. Quite a few do not have a provision that lets you see the position of the **** in the dark. The Steeda ones have a hole drilled in the top, so the green vehicle lighting shows through. I think there is a clear plastic piece in there.

I'll try to get pix up.

Headlight ***** do NOT come off, as they relate to the fog light operation. HOWEVER, they can be modded with some heavy work. I too got a set of the MGW ***** and wanted to make the headlight **** match. Little ingenuity and presto. Love the *****. Bummer that the 07+s can't be swapped out. Found out there were mirror control ***** as well from MGW, had to spring for the coordinated appearance.

Here are my Steeda *****. Super easy to install, and they look pretty nice.

Used the crappy camera on my iPhone, and the car was fairly dark inside, so please forgive the grain in the shot.
