i purchased a new 2010 gt premium 4-speed, kona blue in color. I,m new to the form, and not sure what " s197 " means. Also, am i correct in saying the 2010 body style is different from the 2009 model ? Thank you ! P.S. LOVE MY NEW STANG !

5 speed. and yes the styling is different for the 10 year, Nicer interior and IMO more boss retro look to the front end.

 

S197 = Your Car.

 

It's a 5 speed sir
your auto is a 5r55s
or your manual is a Tr 3650

and "blue in color" is a redundancy ......you would say....my car is Kona Blue....no need to say "in color" as it is understood that Blue is a color.

sorry a pet peeve of mine.

S197 refers to the chassis platform ....just like the mustangs from 94-04 are all sn95's... all mustangs from 05-11 are S197's.
in a nutshell anyway

 

My landlord won't let me have a pet.

 

s197=1 more than s196

 

Or 102 more than an SN95

 

I want to try some 102 in my S197!
