Default 2007 Value... Fair?

Okay I'm about ready to order a 2011 GT on the X-Plan.

I have a 2007 GT Deluxe w/ 15,000 miles, 5-speed Manual, 3.55 Option. Otherwise its a base car.
Cloth interior, Plain Black Dash w/ 4-Gauge Cluster, Plastic Steering Wheel and Shift ****, Base 160W AM/FM CD Stereo.
NADA Average Wholesale (15,000 ml) $17,275 / Kelley Blue Book Good Wholesale (15,000 ml) $15,350
Dealer is offering $17,000 and I keep the car until the 2011 comes in. Fair?

well without being able to see your car or knowing the condition, it can go anywhere from 16-18k so yea its right in that range, but you either could be getting a good deal, and making 1k or loosing 1k. just depends on the factor of the condition. personally by seeing there gunna let u keep your car and still buy it... they obviously are in it to make the sale, so try getting some more for your car.

They are gonna offer you current KBB value, let you keep the car and then give you the agreed upon KBB value at trade in 3 months from now? That is a great deal. Once the 2011's our out the KBB on all previous years is sure to fall ... Get it all in writing!

Thanks guys. I thought thats was about as good as I was going to do.

PS Why is it that I never get the best deal at the same dealer twice?

Seems about right on a trade. But, don't forget the contract end of the deal for the new Mustang. They may work out something in the contract to sweeten the pot, if you keep your guard up. Point out certain things that can be taken off the contract too. The trade is only half of the deal, the rest is in that BIG piece of paper you have to sign.

I don't think he has to worry about the purchasing of the car as he stated that he is using an X-Plan PIN number. The X-Plan is a set price over invoice (usually $200 - $300) and a low corporate-driven fixed dealer fee that the dealer has to charge you for processing the sale. Best way to buy a new Ford!

Gene K - I think that is a great deal! But as others have stated, get it in writing!
