Default Car randomly shutting off?

Hey everybody, I've been having trouble with my 08 GT for a few days now... I've been driving and the car will just shut itself off without me even noticing. Its happened 3 times within 150 miles, 2 different tanks of gas, everything seems to be connected properly. The engine isnt sputtering, it just shut off once when i was at a light and twice on exit ramps. The car just hit 13K miles, only mod is a c&l racer CAI with a tune... Any ideas?

Do you have a canned tune or a email like brenspd or bama?

Also, when I installed my CAI/TUNE, I did not tighten the filter and the tube to the MAF/Throttle BODY. Because of this, my MAF would sense a incorrect amount of air and turn my car off like your car does. Check and tighten the **** out of your CAI.

If that is not your problem, call your tunner and have them check out your tune.

Are you saying you've had these mods for 1k miles w/ no problems? I would still strongly recommend you check your CAI, pull on it, etc. Make sure it does not just "pop" right off.

Ya, I would. Maybe something slowly came lose over time. I'm no mec by any means, but it sounds like the car losing air/fuel. Check the whole thing.

I doubt it has to do with the CAI, since any issues there would cause you to run rich or lean, and you'd throw a code for either of those.

Sounds electrical. Check the two grounds on the upper radiator support. I had one loose one time after some installations and my car would randomly die. If it's not that, I'd check the alternator cable.

Also, suggest cleaning the MAF sensor and TB.
