Saleen S/C ?

RE: Saleen S/C ?
After reading many forum responses, I have learned that the Saleen S/C is a pretty good supercharger...
One reason is, that it will boost the HP with only a small boost (4 LB) and produce reasonable results...
I have also heard that different pulleys are in production that will move this S/C into the range in HP of the Vortechs and Procharger systems...
One thing that "REALLY" seemed great was that after talking to my SVT Ford Dealer, he said that if they install it, I would keep my factory warranty on the car...
Sold me in a heartbeat!!!
In my area, I know of one guy who spent the money for this unit installed on his 2005 GT by the same SVT Dealer that I talked to and he loves it...
It fits under the hood correctly and does not look like an aftermarket system but more like a factory issued supercharger...
He also told me that the power of the car is incrediable!!!
I'm saving for this unit myself and probably next spring (if I can't get a GT500), I will have them install one on my car...
Good Luck and stay posted, Dave
P.S. I run a Steeda CAI and know for a fact that this CAI will fit with the Saleen S/C because it uses the flexible rubber inlet hose...
As for any other CAI, I would tell you to check it out with the installer because any hard cast inlet hose may need to be bent to accomadate this blower...

RE: Saleen S/C ?
troden has one. But I have not seen him post here in a couple of weeks. Last I heard, he said it had massive power. Doubt he could offer an opinion about the hood question though, he has a Steeda hood.

RE: Saleen S/C ?
My local dealer custom built a Saleen for a Dr. in town - looks like the real deal, but it isn't. They used the Saleen blower and factory hood with no problems. Not sure why he wanted a dealer built Saleen, and not just a Saleen - but he did it. And for those of you that would rather build it yourself to save money - that wasn't an issue for this guy. He owns a FEW Lambos and Ferrari's too. They claim to be making nearly 600HP, and they DID NOT forge the internals [&:] So my guess is the good Dr. won't be driving his custom built Saleen for long before he fries the motor [:@]

RE: Saleen S/C ?
The guy I know who has a Saleen Supercharger, purchased it through a SVT Ford Dealership and had them install it...
By doing this process, he kept the factory warranty on the car...
The guy told me that out of the box, the Saleen produces 400 HP at the flywheel which results in about 362 RWHP...
But with only 4LB of boost!!!
With the addition of bigger injectors and a 90MM MAF, the HP will go up...
And with the addition of different size pulleys, you can get 430 HP or more...
Since the SVT Dealer must send the PCM to Saleen for programming and Saleen is still working on the tune for automatics,
I am waiting to purchase a unit for my 2005 GT...
